It is one of the most essential parts of any gaming PC and will cost the most to build. I’ve picked out some of the best graphics card deals on sale. With Black Friday in full swing, there are plenty of savings to be had, and surprisingly, it extends to GPUs, too, as sometimes it can be a bit more challenging to get a discount on those.
But with that, there is a selection of Black Friday Nvidia and AMD deals on their range of hardware across a variety of retailers. Along with a good range of GPUs on sale, if it’s on the lower end with budget choices or after higher-tiered performance, there will be something on sale for you to consider. With that, I’ve picked out a few options below. It’s a good time to consider some new hardware before the RTX 50 series and RDNA 4, which are rumored to be released in a few months.
My top three GPU deals this Black Friday
ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB OC Edition
PowerColor Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Graphics Card
MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 12GB
ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB – was $529.99, now $449.99
ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB OC Edition
The first of the lot is the ASUS ProArt RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, a GPU capable of running a resolution of 1440p and gaming well on that. We reviewed a different version of the 4060 Ti and found it was a bit of an expensive choice for the specs, including the fact that 8GB was a limiting factor. Now, the 16GB version improves upon that, although without the increase in bandwidth.
With that, the 4060 Ti 16 GB’s release price was $499, so with the overhead of the custom card setting the original price of the ProArt to $529.99, the Black Friday sale now cuts 15% off the price. This drops the card below MSRP and makes it the lowest it has ever been on Amazon, according to the price tracking site CamelCamelCamel.
For that price, you get a strong choice for a more entry-level Nvidia card. With the addition of DLSS 3 and frame generation, it can unlock plenty more performance where it’s available. It certainly is a good starting build on the cheaper side of things now, even more so in the sale.
PowerColor Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT – was $729.99, now $620.48
PowerColor Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Graphics Card
The second pick is an AMD GPU, the second-in-line card in the RDNA 3 generation. That gives it plenty of power to play with, even capable of 4k gaming, as we saw in our 7900XT review. So, the PowerColor Hellhound version is a relatively cheap way of getting the GPU in the Black Friday sale.
With a 15% discount, the price drops to just $620, nearly $100 of the retail price. This also puts it a lot lower than the original price of the 7900 XT when it was released, which was $899, much closer to the XTX version than it was worth. But now, in the sale, it’s become a much more worthy choice.
This also puts the price at the lowest it has been, according to CamelCamelCamel, making it the best time to buy. It gives you a 4 K capable graphics card for a reasonable price, along with access to plenty of AMD features and optimizations to enjoy and use alongside it.
MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 – was $599.99, now $489.99
MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 12GB
Last, the selection is the MSI RTX 4070 Ventus 2x, with a surprisingly big price cut for an Nvidia graphics card. Considering the launch price was $599.99, the new sale price of $489.99 is a huge saving of over $100 for the mid-tier graphics card. It is also likely helped by the fact that its spot has been taken over by the 4070 Super, so you can get it for much less now.
In my 4070 review, I gave it a 4/5, stating that its cost was an increase over the previous generation and a detriment to considering it. But now, with the price tag, the 1440p performance it is capable of is a much more worthy consideration, especially as an Nvidia card that is a popular choice with plenty of benefits.
CamelCamelCamel also puts the price as the lowest it has ever been on Amazon, previously only dropping to more than $530, so it might be the perfect time to grab it. Especially as Nvidia is reportedly stopping production of the 40 series and they might start to get sparse before the release of the 50 series.
