Budget-friendly RTX 5060 PC with an i7-14700F dips down to its lowest price in 30 days at Newegg

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly RTX 50-series gaming PC, but one with a more mid-range CPU, then this discounted ABS Cyclone build is well worth checking out. It’s currently down to its lowest price in 30 days at $1,179.99. Now it says it has a $320 discount, but personally, I’d place this PC closer to $1,250 in value, just based on my somewhat extensive experience writing about gaming PC deals. At its current price, it does make a lot of sense, though, as you’re getting an RTX 5060, Intel Core i7-14700F, 16GB of DDR4, and a 1TB SSD. And it also comes with nearly $120 worth of free games, so there’s a win there, too.
With its graphics card, you’re getting something with 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM, exclusive Blackwell features like MFG, and generational improvements to ray tracing and AI performance. It’s a pretty capable card for AAA gaming in FHD at high settings and competitive gaming, and it can handle relatively demanding creative workflows. For gamers/ content creators, it’s certainly not a bad pick, especially for the price.
The CPU is where it starts getting interesting. This mid-range 14th-gen processor features a substantially higher core count than what you’d find in sub-$1000 RTX 5060 builds. It features 20 cores, 28 threads, a boost clock speed of 5.4GHz, and 33MB L3 cache, which is arguably overkill for the RTX 5060. That being said, if you plan on using this PC for gaming, but also streaming, video editing, and heavy multitasking, it’s a good way to go.

RAM is DDR4 and 16GB. Adequate, yes, but not mind-blowing. Its 1TB storage is fairly typical and well-sized for most people, and its air-cooling system is also decent, given that this configuration isn’t super power-hungry.
Who is this gaming PC for?
It’s a curious build in some respects, but I’d say that it’s best for those who want something well under $1,200 with modern Blackwell features for FHD gaming, content creation, streaming, and video editing. I’d personally consider checking out the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and Intel Core i7-14700F options from ABS if you’re still shortlisting. These will be notably better across the board, and the double VRAM is going to position it much more strongly for future AAA releases and more demanding creative tasks.
- Impressive, high-core-count Intel processor makes this build great for gaming, but also streaming, multitasking and creative work
- Blackwell features like MFG, GDDR7 VRAM, and more
- Relatively inexpensive at its current price
- Comes with a game bundle worth nearly $120
- The budget is being largely spent on a somewhat overpowered CPU
- DDR4 RAM, and not a lot of it
- The RTX 5060’s 8GB of VRAM isn’t that much, especially for modern AAA games
