Why you should get this CLX Set gaming PC

As mentioned before, we’ve reviewed the Core Ultra 9 285K and the ASUS TUF RTX 5070 OC and MSI Gaming Trio RTX 5070 OC. The performance of both RTX 5070 variants was the same, and if you’re worried that you won’t get an overclocked GPU with this gaming PC, you can easily overclock it yourself for a higher output.

Core Ultra 9 285K

  • Delivered 216 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p
  • Managed 41,536 points in the Cinebench R23 multi-core test while the Ryzen 9 9950X delivered 40,839
  • Remained at a cool 78°C during all tests

RTX 5070

  • Churned out 169, 124, and 48 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K
  • Delivered 80 FPS in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle at 4K

When we turned on DLSS 4 and MFG, the RTX 5070 was able to push 121 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K, but with ray tracing ramped to overdrive. So, even if native 4K gaming isn’t part of the package from the get-go, these technologies can easily make up for it.

Besides this, there is a 2TB SSD and a 4TB HDD, which you can use as primary and secondary storage, respectively, allowing you to store plenty of data without running out of space. The 64GB of DDR5 RAM seems like overkill, but for a high-end gaming PC, it is acceptable and should ensure that you can handle multiple resource-intensive applications in parallel without performance degradation.

Feel free to overclock the 285K, as there is a 360mm AIO cooler that should keep it tame and under control, and these Arrow Lake processors are much more efficient than their predecessors.

Is this a good deal?

Considering the performance, the hardware inside this gaming PC can deliver, and for the price, we think this is an excellent gaming PC deal. The 285K is a flagship processor, which means that it should be able to handle pretty much anything you can throw at it, so you won’t have to worry about productivity.

The RTX 5070 is a bit underpowered compared to the 285K, but as we saw, it is great for 1440p gaming, and with the help of upscaling technologies, you can even run games at a stable 4K without any issues. The supporting hardware is nothing to ignore either, and overall, this is a solid gaming PC to consider.
