Table of Contents
If you’re looking for a powerful and stylish RTX 5080 build for a great price, then this deal is well worth checking out. Over at Newegg, this Andromeda Insights Ultra 50 V2 gaming PC is now down $300, and has been reduced from $3,299.99 to $2,999.99. Alongside its RTX 5080 graphics card, which is outstanding for 4K gaming and content creation, you’ve got one of the very best gaming CPUs on the market, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, a hefty 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and 2TB of storage. This adds up to a rig that’s epic for high refresh rate gaming with low frame latency, and something that has plenty of headroom for future releases, demanding creative workflows, and heavy multitasking. For a premium build of this calibre, I’d say this deal is a bit of a winner.

Key features of this Andromeda Insights Ultra 50 V2 gaming PC
RTX 5080 graphics card for exceptional 4K performance
This PC packs an RTX 5080, which is one of the best graphics cards for most people who want top-tier 4K gaming performance, but without the sky-high price tag of an RTX 5090. It’s got 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM, which makes it adept at handling demanding AAA titles at ultra settings, and its new and improved 4th-gen ray tracing cores give it a significant ray tracing performance boost, too. The big thing here is its 5th-gen tensor cores, which power everything from AI-accelerated tasks in creative workflows, to the 50-series exclusive Multi Frame Generation, which can dramatically improve perceived framerates. For content creators, this card is a real winner, too, as it boasts 9th-gen Nvidia Encoders for improved export times and can easily handle more complex workflows in Blender and Adobe Premiere Pro. Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor for high fps, low frame latency gaming
This build features a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which is notable due to its unique 3D V-cache architecture, which is designed to maximize framerates and reduce frame latency for super smooth gameplay. It’s a quality pick for the RTX 5080, especially if you’re after something that’s gaming-first, but still has decent content creation and multitasking capabilities, too. It features a 5.2Ghz boost clock speed and massive 96MB L3 cache, which is going to help with CPU-bound games, but its 8 cores and 16 threads are going to come in handy when you’re streaming, recording gameplay, or running various applications, like Discord, in the background. 32GB of DDR5 RAM for top-tier gaming performance, and more
You’ve got the sweet spot when it comes to RAM here, which is great for gaming, especially if you want to avoid microstutters when playing open-world titles or want to keep everything running smoothly at very high framerates. It’s also going to give you a load of headroom when it comes to video, photo, and 3D editing, as these eat up a load of RAM and can grind your system to a crawl when working on larger, more complex files.
2TB of storage for hefty game collections
If you’re not playing a few games on rotation, then a 2TB SSD makes the most sense, especially with some newer titles tipping the scales at over 100GB on occasion. This gives you a load of room to work with and saves you from a potentially expensive upgrade later down the line, too.
Things to consider
This is a good price for this type of gaming PC, in all honesty, as you’re getting impressive design, cooling, and build quality, alongside high-end components like DDR5 and the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Personally, I’d check out some of the Stormcraft gaming PC builds, which look very similar to Andromeda Insights PCs, in my opinion, and are also an amazing value. This one (which is backordered) is well worth a look, and a good example of what I’m getting at. In my experience, if you want to get an RTX 5080 model for around $2,500, you’ll have to go with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K build. Amazing for content creation, but not as good for gaming. Either way, for around $500 less than the build showcased in this article, it could be quite tempting.
