This iBuyPower gaming PC is down to its lowest price in 30 days at Newegg, coming in at a very competitive $2,799.99. Now that’s a little more affordable than your typical RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 9800X3D build, which usually hovers around the $3,000 mark. This build has a Ryzen 9 7900X instead. This higher-core-count alternative still delivers strong gaming performance thanks to its large 64MB L3 cache and high 5.6GHz boost clock speed, while also offering excellent multitasking capabilities.

This build also features 32GB of DDR5, a 2TB SSD, 360mm AIO cooling, and an 850W 80+ Gold-rated PSU, so it’s a well-rounded machine that’s primed quite well for tweaks and future upgrades, especially as the 9 7900X is on the AM5 platform. Essentially, what you’ve got here is a PC that can smash QHD and 4K with ray tracing, but can also be used very effectively for productivity and creative workflows, too.

What we like about this iBuyPower Slate gaming PC

One of the best GPUs for gamers and creatives

The RTX 5080 is a powerhouse for 4K gaming and ray tracing, but its raw performance carries through very well for creatives working on demanding tasks, like video editing, game design, and 3D. Not only can many of these tasks benefit from GPU and AI acceleration, and even its advanced 4th-gen ray tracing cores, but there are also dedicated features like 9th-gen Nvidia Encoders to further improve workflows.

A very well-rounded AM5 CPU for hybrid usage

With 12 cores and 24 threads, compared to the Ryzen 7 9800X3D’s 8 cores and 16 threads, this CPU is better positioned for heavy multitasking, streaming, and creative work in many respects. Considering higher core-count X3D CPUs are seriously expensive, it’s a good way to go if you want something with a decent core count, but without paying anywhere near Ryzen 9 9900X3D prices, for instance.

Loads of RAM and storage

32GB of DDR5 is pretty standard for an RTX 5080 build, but still more than welcome, and the same goes for the 2TB SSD. This gives you storage that’s far more in line with modern game requirements, and means that you won’t have to constantly spring clean to make space for new releases.
