Newegg deals sends price of outstanding ABS RTX 5070 gaming PC crashing below $1,700
Table of Contents
This popular, and super stylish ABS Flux II gaming PC has a hefty $300 discount at Newegg right now, which has knocked its price down from $1,999.99 to $1,699.99, making it a seriously good value. You’ve got an RTX 5070 graphics card here, which is an outstanding option for 1440p gaming, in particular, with high-speed GDDR7 VRAM and exclusive features like multi-frame generation. This is paired with the impressive, very high core and thread count Intel Core i7-14700F, which is a quality pick for both 1440p/4K gaming and ideal for handling demanding multitasking, too. Add 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a PC case that would elevate any setup to the next-level, and we think you’ve got a deal that’s well worth jumping on.

Key features of this ABS Flux II Aqua RTX 5070 gaming PC
Intel Core i7-14700F processor
This is one of the best CPUs from the 14th-gen Intel lineup, and ideal if you’re looking for something for more than just gaming. It has 20 cores (8P and 12 E) and 28 threads, which makes it a powerful CPU for multitasking. For streamers, the 8 performance cores and 12 efficiency cores are ideal, as the latter can handle OBS and Discord on a second monitor, while the performance cores keep gaming performance strong and stable. For creatives, with applications like Premiere Pro and Blender, having a higher thread count is also going to help speed up rendering tasks, improving workflows significantly. On top of that, its 5.3Ghz boost clock speed and large 33MB L3 cache make it very well suited for high fps 1440p, and even 4K, which aligns nicely with the RTX 5070’s capabilities. RTX 5070 graphics card
Arguably the best graphics card if you want the latest tech, and something well-rounded for both 1440p and creative workflows, plus entry-level 4K capabilities with a few tweaks to settings. It’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell Architecture, so you’ve got 12GB of faster GDDR7 VRAM, which allows for better performance at higher textures and resolutions than the RTX 5060. It also has a decent CUDA core count of 6,144, which makes it more capable of high refresh rate 1440p and faster rendering times in popular creative applications, like Blender, for example. It features 4th-gen ray tracing cores, which means you’re getting much better ray tracing performance, without it completely nailing fps, and its 5th-gen tensor cores give it a significant boost to its AI capabilities, especially with MFG, where it can generate frames between frames for smoother appearing gameplay. Overall, it’s an excellent and reasonably priced graphics card, but I’m only scratching the surface here, so check our full review for a deeper dive.

Storage and RAM
First up, you’ve got a 1TB SSD here, which is fine for most people, and personally, what I’d go for if I were looking to keep costs down, as I don’t mind a bit of storage management from time to time. The big win here, though, is the 32GB of DDR5, which is going to help everything from AAA games to applications like Blender and Adobe Premiere Pro feel much smoother and more responsive.
Things to consider
If you’re after excellent 1440p performance and superior 4K, then you may want to explore some of the RX 9070 XT prebuilds, which aren’t a million miles away from this build when it comes to pricing. I’d personally check out this ABS Stratos RX 9070 XT prebuild, which is currently on sale at Newegg and under $1,850, as this is going to have near-RTX 5070 Ti raw performance, 16GB of GDDR6 memory, and is also an excellent choice for creative professionals.
