If you are wondering how you can make an announcement channel for your Discord server, then we have you covered right here.

Discord introduced the announcement channel way back in 2021. Much like the name suggests, announcement channels are for making announcements. Usually, only the server owner or a few members can post on this channel. The aim is typically to compile all the server-related announcements in one channel.

Now, you can only set up an announcement channel if you have Community enabled on your server. If you don't, you will have to enable it first. In this guide, we will show you how to enable Community and set up a new announcement channel for your server using your PC or mobile.
