Google Docs is a free online service that lets you create documents in all shapes and sizes. It has a simple interface and allows you to collaborate with other people easily.

You can use Google Docs to create a brochure or flier. All you need is a template and some text. Today we’re going to be looking at how you can make your very own brochure on Google Docs.

1

Using The Brochure Template On Google Docs

First, let’s start by looking at the template for Google Docs brochures. This is probably the easiest way to create a brochure in Google Docs because Google has done all of the hard work for you.

Step

1

Open Google Docs

Open Google Docs in a new browser.

Step

2

Click On Brochure

Along the top of the page you will see a number of new document templates, including Blank, Project Proposal, Brochure, and more.

Click on Brochure to open a new Google Doc.

Step

3

Add In Your Content

Add in your own text and images where the template tells you to. Once you’re happy with your brochure, save it and print it!

That’s it – how quick and simple was that?

2

Choosing A Different Template

There is another way to get a different Google template for a brochure, if you don’t like the one that we have used above. Here’s how to find it.

Step

1

Open Google Doc

On your open Google Doc, click File to open the drop-down menu. Click New, then From Template.

Step

2

Choose A Template

Here you will have opened a new window with many templates in. There are two templates for brochures – Geometric and Modern Writer.

Step

3

Create Your Brochure

Choose which you want to open and start creating your brochure from the template.

3

Manually Making A Brochure In Google Docs

If you’re not a fan of either of the brochure templates that Google offers, you can make your own in your Google Doc. This is more time consuming but it will ensure that your brochure is exactly how you want it.

Step

1

Create A Blank Document

Go to Google Docs and create a blank document.

Use the Page Orientation options under Format to align with how you want your brochure to look.

Step

2

Add A Table

Add a table from the Insert dropdown menu and set it for 3 × 1.

Step

3

Remove The Header And Footer

Remove the Header and Footer from your page.

To achieve this, double-click on the top of your page, click the Options button and then Remove Header.

Do the same for your Footer.

Step

4

Drag The Edges To Make The Table Fit

Now drag the sides and top and bottom of the table until it fits the entire page.

Step

5

Create Another Page

Create another page below this one in the exact same way so that you have both sides of the brochure to work on. Now you can add content to your brochure such as images, text, word art, and more.

4

Using Columns To Create A Brochure

Another way to create a brochure in Google Docs is with the use of columns.

Step

1

Switching Orientation

Use the above steps to make the page Landscape rather than Portrait.

Step

2

Format The Columns

Click Format, then Columns, then choose between two or three.

Step

3

Add Your Content

Add in your content to make your brochure, such as text and images.

Step

4
