We’re still a few months away from the Acer Predator Atlas 8 release date in October, but we’ve already learned a lot about the powerful Windows handheld. And now, Acer tells us that it will be getting a launch pack bundle, at least in the UK, with extra goodies worth more than £285. MSI was also selling a UK launch pack with its Claw 8 EX AI+, so treat this as a similar offer.

UK pricing for the Intel-powered handheld was revealed earlier this week, with four upcoming models – two with the Arc G3 and two with the Arc G3 Extreme chip, with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD storage. Prices start at £999.99 for the entry-level variant and stretch up to £1,499 for top spec. Acer did not tell us if the launch pack will cost extra, but it comes as a pre-order exclusive.

What will be inside the Acer Predator Atlas 8 launch pack?

A representative from Acer tells us the Intel Arc G3/G3 Extreme handheld “will be launching with an awesome launch pack” – the contents of which you can see below.

• High-Speed NVMe SSD Enclosure
• Powerful 100W GaN Fast Charger
• Extended 3-Year Protection
• Blockbuster AAA Action-Adventure Game (to be announced)
• Predator Wireless Gaming Controller

Customers will be able to buy from “any participating retailer” (yet to be announced) and claim the launch pack from Acer when they pre-order the Atlas 8. We cannot confirm if the bundle will be available globally; MSI notably left its equivalent out of the US market, but we’ll have to wait and see if the same is true for the Atlas 8. Pricing outside of the UK is yet to be announced.

Acer’s wireless Predator Gaming Controller is worth £69.99 on its own, and we’re keen to find out just which game will be bundled with the new handheld. Either way, we should soon learn more about the offer as we draw closer to the release date. A specific date is yet to be revealed, but as we said before, the system is set to arrive in October this year.
