The Nintendo Switch 2 is already breaking records as the fastest-selling Nintendo console of all time. Unfortunately, this means the Switch 2 is proving difficult to get hold of. Even Amazon is struggling to attain stock for sale. At least customers can now buy first-party Nintendo games at Amazon, though.

Despite being absent during the launch week for the Switch 2, Amazon at last has three first-party Switch 2 games in stock.

Three new first-party Switch 2 games have now appeared on Amazon:

  • Donkey Kong Bananza – $69.99
  • Super Mario Party Jamboree – $79.99
  • Kirby and the Forgotten Land – $79.99

Though these games are all in stock, you will need to already own a Nintendo Switch 2 if you want to play them, since there is no sign of a Switch 2 restock on Amazon US.

Stock remains limited for Switch 2

Though many customers managed to grab a console from Best Buy or GameStop, supplies quickly dried up. Even big retailers like Walmart and Target are struggling to keep stock available for purchase.

Some have drawn comparisons to the Christmas rush for the Nintendo Wii back in 2007, when parents desperate to purchase the console for their children dashed from store to store, only to find everywhere out of stock.

For now, the best chance at buying the console is to keep checking big stores like Walmart and Target. Those who have an active 12-month Switch Online subscription and at least 50 hours of gameplay on their account can register interest in buying the console directly from Nintendo, but so far, invites to buy have been sporadic.

Some places, such as Best Buy and GameStop, have moved to only selling the console in-store, with a strict ‘one console per customer’ rule. If you really want a Switch 2, you might have to pretend it’s 2007 all over again.
