CES is one of the biggest tech events of the year, and now that IFA Berlin 2025 is over, we can start looking forward to CES as one of the next major events. The big event today may be Apple’s September announcements, which will see the iPhone 17 launch, but if you’re looking for broader tech announcements, CES is the place to be.
AMD and Lenovo are the first two keynote speakers to be confirmed for CES 2026 – Dr. Lisa Su and Yuanqing Yang will take to the stage, respectively. The main portion of the event will take place between January 6th and 9th (some keynotes happen the evening before), and we hope to be in attendance, as per usual. This announcement comes following the introduction of pre-orders for Lenovo’s Legion Go 2 – the handheld is powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen Z2 processors.
CES 2026 gets its first confirmed keynotes
It’s way too early to confirm what will be announced at CES 2026, so all we have so far is some pretty generic patter. As far as rumors and speculation go, we might be able to look forward to more RDNA 4 cards to join AMD’s latest GPU line-up. Right now, the supposed RX 9080 XT could provide just that, which would give us a new toy to play with until RDNA 5 arrives.
In her keynote, Dr. Su will outline how the broad AMD portfolio of CPUs, GPUs, adaptive computing, and AI software and solutions empowers customers and partners to solve the world’s most important challenges. From the leadership of AMD EPYCâ„¢ processors in the data center, to the acceleration enabled by AMD Instinctâ„¢ GPUs, and the advancements driven by Ryzenâ„¢ CPUs and Radeonâ„¢ graphics in AI PCs and gaming, AMD technology continues to spur innovation. Dr. Su has been recognized as TIME’s 2024 CEO of the Year and one of Fortune’s 100 Most Powerful People in Business.

Now that the company has launched its latest Legion Go 2 handheld, that likely leaves any brand-new handhelds out of the question. However, the idea of a SteamOS model is appealing, especially if it arrives with a lower price tag like we saw from the SteamOS Legion Go S. People have been critical of the Legion Go 2’s price; Lenovo responded to the criticism by describing it as an ‘enthusiast’ handheld with top-tier specs.
