The iPhone 17 series is all set to be revealed as part of Apple’s September event announcements. Based on what we know so far (from leaks and rumors), this year brings in some changes for Apple’s ever-popular smartphone range. One of the biggest is the loss of the ‘Plus’ model, since it is essentially being replaced by the iPhone 17 Air. The good news for any Apple fan is that these devices will be unveiled today, as Apple has penciled in its latest event for September 9.

September’s Apple Event has long played host to the latest iPhone launches, so don’t expect this year to be any different. That means we can look forward to the iPhone 17 release date in the near future, as well as iPhone 17 pre orders as soon as the 12th, based on previous years’ schedules.

Apple Event start time this September

When will you be able to watch the iPhone 17 launch? Well, Apple has already confirmed the next event is taking place on September 9 at 10 AM, Pacific Time – local time for Apple Park in California. Here’s how that looks in various regions around the world:

  • US Pacific (PDT): 10 AM
  • US Eastern (EDT): 1 PM
  • United Kingdom (BST): 6 PM
  • Central Europe (CEST): 7 PM
  • India (IST): 10:30 PM
  • Sydney, Australia (AEST): 3 AM, September 10
  • Auckland, New Zealand (NZST): 5 AM, September 10

Our countdown clock just above reveals exactly when you’ll be able to tune in. The event will be livestreamed on Apple’s website and is also available on the Apple TV app. There’s also a YouTube livestream if you prefer. If you don’t see the countdown above, that means time is up and the event is underway (or already over).

As usual, Apple’s lips have remained sealed regarding what will be announced this September; there’s not much longer to wait in any case. The “Awe dropping” event is expected to feature the new iPhone 17 range, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Series 11, and SE, as well as the AirPods Pro 3.

Rumors and leaks so far show a price bump for the iPhone 17 series – even the cheapest Air is expected to cost over $1,000, and a brand-new Apple accessory (a magnetic strap) could be on the horizon.
