2025 is turning out to be an amazing year for AMD. The company has been excelling in a few areas, and the latest CPU sales report proves it once again. After beating Nvidia in GPU sales and leading motherboard sales at the popular German retailer Mindfactory, AMD is far ahead of Intel in the CPU market too.

The CPU sales report for week 29 (July 14 – 20), shared by TechEpiphany, shows that AMD is dominating sales in a big way. According to the numbers, AMD sold 2,990 units, while Intel only sold 330. That gives AMD a massive 90.06% share of total units sold at the German retailer. AMD earned $926,950, making up 91.28% of the total revenue. Intel, on the other hand, earned only $88,525, which gives them the remaining 8.72%.

CPUUnits Sold

Ryzen 7 9800X3D520
Ryzen 5 7500F150
Ryzen 5 9600X 140
Ryzen 7 9700X100
Ryzen 7 770090
Ryzen 7 5700X3D80
Ryzen 5 7600X70
Ryzen 9 9950X3D70
Ryzen 5 7600X3D70

The report reveals that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D was the most sold CPU at Mindfactory in week 29, selling over 800 units. This isn’t really surprising, as even though the CPU is over two years old, the demand for it is still quite high. In fact, late last year, it was completely sold out at popular retailers, and the stores that had it in stock were selling the remaining units for well above the original price.

Right behind the 7800X3D is the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, its successor, which was released in November last year. This CPU quickly became very popular after launch because it offers several improvements over the previous model. One of the biggest changes is that it supports overclocking, which wasn’t possible with the earlier X3D chips.

One interesting detail from the report is that older AM4 socket CPUs are still selling very well. In fact, AM4 chips alone outsold all Intel sockets combined. AMD sold 470 AM4 units, while Intel sold 240 units for socket 1700 and 90 units for the newer 1851 socket. That totals just 330 Intel CPUs.
