Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was officially revealed yesterday, and alongside the first look, the developers also shared the system requirements. These should give players an idea of what they’ll need to run the game smoothly on their systems. And for Steam Deck (or other handheld) users, there’s some good news.

In a post shared on Steam, the developers confirmed that the game will be playable on the Steam Deck. While full details are still not available, “dedicated graphics presets” for handhelds are confirmed, which suggests the game is being optimized specifically for portable devices. It remains unclear whether the game will be Steam Deck Verified at launch, but the early signs are promising.

You’ll be able to relive (or experience for the first time) Edward’s tale on Steam as well as on Steam Deck on July 9. More details will be shared later for the Steam Deck version.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced system requirements

As for PC players, the system requirements give a clear idea of what to expect across different settings. For 1080p at 30 FPS on low settings, you’ll need a CPU like an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, paired with a GPU such as a GTX 1600, RX 5500 XT, or Intel Arc A580. The game also requires 16GB of RAM and 65GB of SSD storage.

If you’re aiming for 1080p at 60 FPS on medium settings, the requirements make a noticeable jump – especially for the GPU. A Core i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 3600 will do the job, while recommended graphics cards include the RTX 3060, RX 6600 XT, or Intel Arc B580.

For 1440p at 60 FPS on high settings, you’ll need a stronger setup. This includes a Core i5-11600K or Ryzen 5 5600X, paired with an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT. At the high end, for 4K at 60 FPS on ultra settings, the game demands top-tier hardware. You’ll need a Core i7-12700K or Ryzen 7 5700X3D, along with an RTX 4090 or RX 7900 XTX or better.

Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will launch on July 9, 2026, across all platforms, and we’ll most likely get to learn more about how well it runs on various handhelds as we get closer to launch.
