To begin with, we've got the Corsair HX1000i power supply unit, which has an 80+ and Cybenetics Platinum rating. According to Cooler Master, a PSU with a platinum rating is 90% efficient at 20% load, 92% efficient at 50% load, and 89$ efficient at 100% load.
So, more efficiency means less energy is wasted in transit and heat, which should result in lower electricity costs in the long run. This PSU is ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 compliant and measures 7.09 x 5.91 x 3.39 inches. So, ensure you have enough space in your PC case to accommodate it.
We paired it with a Ryzen 9 7950X and an RTX 3090 to test its performance, with a power draw of 170W and 350W, respectively. This totals 520W. Then, we ran Furmark 2 CPU and GPU stress tests to push them to their limits so they demand more power.
All full load, the maximum wattage we saw was around 706W and the efficiency was 93.93%. So, there was still a 294W overhead available, meaning this PSU could easily handle this pair and be paired with powerful components without worrying about compatibility issues.

The next Corsair PSU on this list is another 1000W option, but it has a twist. The RM1000x Shift has all its connections on the side rather than the back. This makes cable management much easier; just ensure your PC case can support the side panel connections.
The RM1000x has an 80+ and Cybenetics Gold rating, meaning it has an efficiency between 87% and 89%, according to Cybenetics. It also has an “A” rating for noise level from Cybenetics, which places its noise output between 20 dB(A) and 25 dB(A). For reference, a whisper is generally said to have a noise level of 30dB(A).
According to their tests, the average efficiency for 115V and 230V is 88.494% and 90.176%, respectively. So, this PSU is highly efficient and can be easily paired with GPUs and CPUs like the RTX 4090 and 14900K without causing any issues in power delivery.

The last option in this list is the RM850x, which is sort of like the big brother of the RM750x. When we tested it for our RM850x review, it got a 4.5/5 rating, just behind the RM750x. This is an ATX PSU and 160mm in length. On top of that, since it is also a Shift PSU, its connections are on the side.
This power supply unit is also fully modular, meaning you can only use the connections you need and store the rest of the cables. This makes cable management much easier and reduces clutter.
We used the same test bench as before to test this PSUs performance and efficiency. At idle, it was pulling around 126W, but while loading up, it managed a power draw of 705W, out of which 570W was going to the CPU and the GPU. So, this PSU could very easily keep up with the power demand, and the fans didn't make a lot of noise.
So, if you've got powerful components and want to save a bit on the PSU, I recommend going for the RM850x Shift, but keep in mind that spending $10 extra will land you the RM1000x Shift. So, that is something you'll need to consider.
