There’s no denying that Cyberpunk 2077 is an eye-pleasing game. That’s reflected in the system requirements and performance, though it has thankfully gotten much more optimized over the years. However, if you have a particularly high-end system featuring the best GPU and best CPU for the job, you may want to delve into the world of graphics mods in the name of ultra-realistic visuals.
Well, DreamPunk is just that, and it has just been updated to version 2.0. The creator of the mod, NextGen Dreams, has shown off the new update in 8K, running on a high-end rig that features the usual suspects such as an RTX 4090 and Intel i9 CPU. The mod is made possible by technology such as Path Tracing and DLSS 3.7.10.

In the video, we can see a few different ‘realism’ lighting showcases such as hyper-realistic nightlife, photorealistic cars and bikes, and lifelike environments. User reaction to the update is positive, with many commenting on the lifelike visuals. One user even claimed they “forgot it was a game” for a moment. Other people are a little more concerned if their graphics card is up to the task; you’re probably going to want one of the best graphics cards on the market for this one.
One thing we have to mention is that this graphics mod doesn’t come for free. It is available through NextGenDreams’ Patreon page, where Gold and Platinum memberships are available depending on what you’re after. The 2.0 update is now available as of August 17th and introduces the following new features:
- Dynamic weather with dynamic clouds & shadows; true HDR weather
- Refined ray tracing color grading
- Heavily modified Exposure Adaption
