Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was officially announced for PC during a PlayStation State of Play presentation last month, confirming long-running speculation that a PC version was on the way. For the PC release (via Steam or Epic Games Store), Kojima Productions has partnered with Nixxes Software to ensure the game delivers a polished experience on the platform.

And if you’ve been waiting to jump in, the wait is almost over, as the game is scheduled to release today, March 19. Well, the game was actually leaked ahead of launch day, but if you want to obtain it the legitimate way, then we can talk you through the global release times below.

When does Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launch today on PC?

According to Kojima Productions, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will release on March 19 at 7:30 AM PT on PC. However, time zone differences come into play – this is not a simple ‘midnight’ launch for everyone. To make things easier, we have put together a list of release times for different regions below. You’ll notice that some regions will get access on March 20 instead of March 19.

  • Los Angeles – 7:30 AM PT (March 19)
  • New York – 10:30 AM ET (March 19)
  • London – 2:30 PM GMT (March 19)
  • Berlin – 3:30 PM CEST (March 19)
  • Tokyo – 11:30 PM JST (March 19)
  • Sydney – 1:30 AM AEST (March 20)
  • Auckland – 3:30 AM NZST (March 20)

We’ve also added a countdown clock above, which lets you track the exact hours, minutes, and seconds remaining until you can dive into the game. The timer will disappear once it has expired, so if you don’t see one, the game is already out.

What does the PC port offer?

The PC port brings several upgrades and features designed to make full use of modern hardware. One of the biggest highlights is support for major upscaling technologies, including Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS. These will allow players to boost performance while maintaining visual quality. Players will also get access to fully customizable graphics settings, allowing them to adjust visual quality based on their system. Alongside that, the game supports unlocked frame rates, giving players more control over performance, especially on high-end PCs.

The port also includes support for ultrawide (21:9) and super-ultrawide (32:9) displays, so anyone going beyond the standard 16:9 aspect ratio can enjoy an even more immersive experience. As for controls, the game offers full mouse and keyboard support with custom keybindings. However, the PC version also includes full DualSense support, bringing features like adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. Not a massive surprise now that Sony is branding its DualSense controllers as “PC Ready”.

Aside from that, PC users can also enable the PlayStation overlay by linking to their PlayStation account. This will allow them to access PlayStation Trophies, friend lists, and profiles. They’ll also receive a PlayStation-themed suit and some exclusive backpack patches as a reward for linking their account.
