The next generation of graphics cards is upon us and Intel is first to step up to the plate. We expect both Nvidia and AMD to launch their RTX 50 and RX 8000 series respectively at CES 2025, which takes place in early January. However, Team Blue looks to be releasing its new Intel Arc Battlemage GPUs this December.

There have been rumors and leaks circulating the web for a while suggesting the late 2024 release time. And now, as per a new announcement by Intel Gaming on X, Intel will be revealing something new for its range of Arc GPUs. Last week, they teased us by saying “Battlemage is next” – but now we have an exact time and date.

Battlemage is expected to be launched on December 3rd

As seen in the graphic down below, you can tune in to the Intel Gaming YouTube channel on December 3rd, 9 am ET to see the big reveal. If you want to see how this looks in your timezone, we’ve covered it for a few different regions across the world:

  • Pacific Time (PT): 6 am, December 3rd
  • Eastern Time (ET): 9 am, December 3rd
  • London, UK (GMT): 2 pm, December 3rd
  • Sydney, Australia (AEDT): 1 am, December 4th
  • Auckland, New Zealand (NZDT): 3 am, December 4th

It isn’t completely clear how many GPUs will be launched and/or announced, but there have been some leaks already regarding the B580 – Battlemage’s successor to last-gen’s (Alchemist) A580. According to a benchmark leak, it will feature 12GB of RAM and perform somewhere within the RTX 4060-4060 Ti range, priced in the region of $250.

Last-gen’s flagship was the Intel Arc A770, released back in October 2022. While you may expect Intel to follow this up with a B770, there are rumors that it has been either canceled or delayed for an unspecified amount of time. With that, there’s a decent chance it won’t included in the December 3rd reveal. We reviewed the Arc A770 and found it to be a solid card for 1080p gaming, “with strong figures in 1440p, too.”
