Where to buy AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D – best retailers in the US, UK, and Canada
Table of Contents
AMD has now released the Ryzen 7 7700X3D following its official announcement at Computex 2026. It’s an interesting launch, given that we’re already well into the Ryzen 9000 series, but the last-gen 7000 series chip still deserves a spot on the market, serving a niche of customers looking for an 8-core X3D processor a little cheaper than the 7800X3D.
If you’re one of those people, then the 7700X3D is an excellent option, especially if you’re upgrading from AM4 and hoping to cut some costs while memory prices are painfully high. It isn’t the only older-gen model AMD has released lately, as the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is also back in stock with a special anniversary edition to celebrate 10 years of the AM4 socket.
- Release date: July 16, 2026
- Price: $329 USD / £289 GBP / $469 CAD
- What is it?: The latest CPU in AMD’s popular Ryzen series. It joins the last-gen Ryzen 7000 series to fill the gap between the existing 7600X3D and 7800X3D models
- Specs: 8-core, 16-thread design, 4GHz clock speed, 120W TDP, X3D (3D V-Cache) design with 96MB L3 cache
- Latest update:Â The processor has been launched and has an exclusivity deal with Newegg in North America. It is widely available at more retailers in other regions
Ryzen 7 7700X3D – US retailers
At the time of its launch, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D is exclusive to Newegg, so that’s the only place you can buy one new in North America right now. The exclusivity deal doesn’t last forever, however – more retailers are expected to stock the CPU in Q4 2026, including the likes of Amazon and B&H.
| Newegg | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D |
| Amazon (expected Q4) | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D |
| B&H (expected Q4) | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D |
Ryzen 7 7700X3D – UK retailers
There’s no exclusivity in the UK, so customers can take their pick. If you want to avoid Amazon, then Scan and Overclockers UK are go-to retailers in the region – both of which are stocking the 7700X3D.
| Amazon | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D |
| Scan | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D |
| Overclockers UK | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D |
| Currys | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D |
Ryzen 7 7700X3D – Canada retailers
Like the United States, customers in Canada will have to go to Newegg for the 7700X3D in the months immediately following launch day.
| Newegg | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D |
| Amazon (expected Q4) | AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D |
Why should I consider the Ryzen 7 7700X3D? And how much does it cost?
We’d recommend the new 7700X3D if you’re looking for excellent gaming performance. The new Ryzen 7 processor is designed specifically to maximize gaming performance. Its standout feature is AMD 3D V-Cache, which increases the CPU’s L3 cache from a typical 32 MB to 96 MB by stacking an additional cache layer directly on the CPU, resulting in lower latency for improved framerates – particularly in 1% lows for better stability. The popular 9800X3D (which we’ve tested) is a good example of that.

Is my motherboard compatible with the 7700X3D? What else do I need?
The 7700X3D fits AMD’s latest AM5 socket, so you’ll need a compatible AM5 motherboard and DDR5 RAM (such as the best for gaming) to match. The CPU does not include a stock cooler, so you’ll also need a compatible CPU cooler – we’d recommend either a high-quality air cooler or an AIO liquid cooler for the best performance. - X870
