What we liked about this gaming PC
Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the best gaming processor
When you have the 9800X3D by your side, you stop looking at the system requirements because you know you’re going to get the best output with excellent 1% lows. This processor broke the gaming industry upon its release as it changed how the 3D V-Cache was placed, but that design change allowed this CPU to be overclocked as the cache was in direct contact with the heat spreader. This means that the voltage doesn’t have to be locked, and that gives it even better potential for those who want extreme performance.

Besides that, it is capable of being paired with the best graphics cards on the market, as not even the RTX 5090 was able to bottleneck it at 1080p, which should tell you everything you need to know about it. On the other hand, productivity also got a massive boost, as when we reviewed the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, it easily outperformed the Ryzen 7 9700X in multi-core tests, which is incredible.
RX 7900 XTX provides plenty of processing overhead with 24GB VRAM
Before the Radeon 9000 and NVIDIA RTX 50-series, the RTX 40-series and Radeon 7000 GPUs were head-to-head. At that time, the strongest GPU from AMD was the RX 7900 XTX, which came with 24GB GDDR6 VRAM, making it an attractive option for gamers and professionals. This amount of VRAM provided plenty of buffer for resource-heavy tasks like rendering, compilation, and editing, as heavy 4K textures and data packages can be loaded without hitting the ceiling.
We also reviewed and tested the ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC, and it showcased great gaming performance across the board. For example, it churned out 70 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K ultra settings while the RTX 4090, its direct competitor, managed 74 FPS, which was really impressive for the former.
1000W PSU future-proofs the build
For a gaming PC with this hardware, you generally need 850W PSUs, which is fine, but since you’ll have a 1000W power supply unit, that makes it even better. While the PSU isn’t the focus for many, future upgrades boil down to whether the existing PSU can support them or not. With 1000W of capacity, you can easily upgrade to the RTX 5090 without any issues, as that is the recommended PSU.
