On the cusp of Computex officially starting, AMD has its announcements sorted ahead of the show. In that, we get a look at some of the previously leaked or showcased hardware with release dates and pricing, as well as some improvements elsewhere, too. That includes details on two CPUs, with a commitment to AM5 until 2029, a desktop GPU, a professional GPU, and EXPO optimizations.

That includes the full details on the leaked Ryzen 7 7700X3D and the new 10th Anniversary of AM4 with Ryzen 7 5800X3D availability. For the graphics card, the RX 9070 GRE, which came out last year in China, is getting a worldwide release, as it also highlights FSR 4.1 support for RDNA 3 GPUs.

The last two are mainly software features. Firstly, the Radeon AI Pro R9000 is getting drivers for greater support on Windows and Linux. Then AMD EXPO is getting Ultra Low Latency optimization, coming from certain partners; it can offer improvements if you can afford them in the current RAMpocalypse.

Release dates and details

Celebrating the longevity and success of AM4, the 5800X3D is certainly one of the highlights of the generation. Debuting the new 3D cache, it spawned some of the best CPUs out there. So it’s no surprise AMD is using that to celebrate 10 years of the platform by re-releasing the popular processor. Especially as maybe many of us are still sticking to it to keep prices lower with DDR4 and older CPUs, myself included, with my home PC sporting it.

That new anniversary edition is launching June 25th at a recommended price of $349, about $100 lower than its original release price. It also comes with a Carbice Ice Pad thermal interface for cooling. That’s not the only X3D CPU scheduled, as the 7700X3D is set to come out on 16th July at a $329 SEP. With specs of 8 cores, 16 threads, a 4.5 GHz max boost, and a 120W TDP, it’s a bit of a middle ground with stacked cache on the AM5 platform.

AMD also extended its commitment to the support of the platform and likely a new generation of processors to at least 2029. In another two years, as previously, at the 9950X3D2 announcement, it had cemented 2027+ support, but it’s gone even further now.

As for the RX 9070 GRE, the 1440p GPU, it is launching worldwide on the 1st of June with a price of $549. The 12GB card is a cut-down of the RX 9070. While the AMD EXPO ULL tech aims to have new modules in June 2026, with a 4% increase in FPS compared to previous EXPO models, and more compared to JEDEC models.
