Outlaws is easily the best-looking Star Wars game, captured by the RTX 5090 at 4K with hidden max settings

Star Wars Outlaws was released back in August 2024. Even though it was one of the most hyped games of the year, it didn’t do as well as expected. The game had several issues at launch, which led to many players giving it very low scores. In the first month, the game sold only 1 million copies.
While this might seem like a big number, it wasn’t enough for Ubisoft, especially for a Star Wars game. However, even though the game wasn’t a big success in sales, it might be the best-looking Star Wars game yet, and this is all thanks to the new RTX technologies on the 50 series.

Star Wars Outlaws looks absolutely stunning on the RTX 5090
Recently, Jacob Freeman shared four 4K gameplay screenshots of Star Wars Outlaws on X. The game was running on an RTX 5090 with DLSS 4 fully enabled. This included the Transformer model and 4X Multi Frame Generation.
For those who don't know, Multi Frame Generation is a new DLSS feature only available on RTX 50 series cards. It generates three extra frames on top of the one that the GPU normally renders, leading to higher FPS. On the other hand, the Transformer model replaces the previous CNN model and improves stability, lighting, and motion detail. Outlaws is listed as one of the four games with native Multi Frame Gen support at launch.
In the screenshots, you can see that the latest RTX technologies deliver clearer and more realistic reflections on floors, characters, and other shiny surfaces. On the other hand, objects and textures look sharper, making everything feel real. Thanks to the new Transformer model, floors reflect light properly, making them look polished and more natural, and every surface is detailed. An interesting point to keep in mind is that the game was running on the hidden “Outlaw” graphics settings, which go beyond the Ultra present, pushing the game’s graphics to the next level. And with everything maxed out, the game delivered over 220 FPS.
However, it is important to keep in mind that this much FPS wouldn’t have been possible with just the raw power of the GPU. Instead, it was only possible thanks to the DLSS 4’s Multi Frame Generation feature, which was maxed out at 4X.
Recently, we also saw how Cyberpunk 2077 looked even better with the new DLSS Transformer model. The game had less ghosting and shimmer in motion compared to the older DLSS version. In another test, PC Centric ran the game at 4K on the RTX 5090 and got around 280 FPS with Ray Tracing and Multi-Frame Generation enabled.
Nvidia also recently released a new video showcasing the RTX technologies in Black Slate, and the improvements in reflections, shadows, and lighting completely changed how the game looked and felt. One thing is clear: the new RTX 50 series GPUs, paired with the latest RTX technologies like DLSS 4 and the new Transformer Model, take the graphics to the next level.
