With all eyes on the RTX 5080 and 5090 launch, the competition to get one as soon as they hit shelves is tough. In fact, it’s almost impossible – as both the new cards have sold out, as have many gaming PCs featuring them (our stock tracker might help out though). On the bright side, if you were looking for an upgrade and don’t mind an alternative, we've found this Yeyian Phoenix gaming PC $710 cheaper at Newegg.
This prebuilt gaming PC features high-end components and, with the price reduction, makes for an excellent choice. In addition, you can use the money you're saving to upgrade your peripherals or get one of the best gaming monitors.

Highlights of the Yeyian Phoenix Gaming PC
Here is an overview of this gaming PC’s components, which should help you determine whether it is worth investing in.
Processor: Intel Core i9-14900KF
This gaming PC is powered by the Intel Core i9-14900KF. We've reviewed the 14900K, which is exactly the same as this processor except that it has an integrated GPU. What this means is that you won't be able to boot your system without a discrete GPU with the 14900KF; however, since it is paired with the RTX 4080 Super, you won't need to worry about that.
To give you an idea of how this processor should perform, our 14900K managed 336 FPS in CS2 at 1080p high settings and 219 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p. This was when it was paired with the RTX 4070 Ti, so we can expect even higher numbers with the 4080 Super.
GPU: RTX 4080 Super
The RTX 4080 Super is the second most powerful GPU in the RTX 40-series lineup. In our RTX 4080 Super review, it delivered excellent in-game performance at 1440p and 4K. We got 125 and 51 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p and 4K, respectively.
This was without leveraging DLSS 3. With the RTX 40-series GPUs getting DLSS 4 later on, its performance should get even better in the long run. So, you shouldn't have any issues playing games at 4K or running tasks like video editing or rendering with this gaming PC.
RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz
This PC features 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6,000 MHz. For most, this is the sweet spot for productivity and gaming; however, you can always increase the RAM by installing more sticks on the motherboard. You can also overclock your RAM for better efficiency, but keep in mind that it needs to be done very carefully, as overdoing it can lead to instability issues. If your RAM isn't working, your PC won't boot.
PSU: 850W 80+ Gold
The 14900KF and the RTX 4080 Super have 253W and 320W TDP, respectively. This means that their combined power draw will be 573W, and with that, you should still have an overhead of 277W. This should be more than enough to accommodate decent overclocking efforts for the RAM, CPU, and GPU.
Also, the 80+ Gold rating, according to Corsair, means that it'll be 87% efficient at 100% and 20% load and 90% efficient at 50% load.
What we think of this gaming PC
If you are looking for a PC that delivers excellent productivity and gaming performance, the Yeyian Phoenix PC shouldn't disappoint. The 14900KF paired with the RTX 4080 Super should ensure that you can handle resource-intensive tasks without any issues and game at 1440p or 4K without running into CPU or GPU bottlenecks.
