If you’re stuck on which 4060 Ti to buy, we’ve got you covered here with our picks of the best RTX 4060 Ti GPUs. Released back in May 2023, Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series features Ada Lovelace architecture, advanced ray tracing capabilities, AI-accelerated performance, and DLSS 3 – all of which come together to form a reliable 1440p experience. A year on, and it’s still one of the most affordable ways to get an Ada GPU.

Compared to the RTX 4060, the RTX 4060 Ti has more CUDA cores and TGP, which gives it the edge and awards it with its ‘Ti’ status. With their 4th-gen Tensor cores, both GPUs unlock the DLSS 3 with frame generation – which is something that can tweak your gaming experience significantly. That being said, there are quite a few choices available on the market. To help you find the one that checks the most boxes for you, we have picked out some of the best RTX 4060 Ti, looking at a budget option, a higher VRAM card, and a unique take on the 4060 Ti design.

How we selected the best RTX 4060 Ti GPUs

Selecting the best RTX 4060 Ti wasn’t just a matter of examining specs on a datasheet. We rolled up our sleeves, delved into gaming forums, and user reviews, and even got our own hands-on experience on this impressive GPU. Drawing on our familiarity with graphics card partner features – and a knowledge of what adds value to a GPU – we’ve picked the options we’d go for ourselves. More than anything, we used our own RTX 4060 Ti review and GPU testing to context the overall abilities of the card, and how it’s different from the original 4060. Essentially, you’ve got 4352 CUDA cores over 3840 in the 4060, more texture units, and higher clock speeds and L2 cache. So, what you’ve got is one of the best budget graphics cards for 1440p, that’s got extra value from its support of DLSS 3 Frame Generation and other current-gen technologies.

FAQs

Can the RTX 4060 Ti run at 4K?

Unfortunately, the RTX 4060 Ti is not geared for 4K performance. Nvidia itself doesn’t market the RTX 4060 Ti as a 4K gaming solution, not even the 16GB model. The performance level is simply not enough for this entry-level GPU. If 4K is your thing and you want to try it out, we recommend moving up to a mid-range or high-end GPU like the RTX 4090 or RTX 4080 Super.
