Both AMD and Intel have recently launched their latest generation of processors, the former’s highly popular 9800X3D being the most recent. And with new CPUs come new motherboards, with Intel moving onto its new LGA 1851 socket while AMD sticks to AM5 – socket longevity has been a winning formula for Team Red so far.
We’ve already seen the launch of Z890 and X870 motherboard chipsets from Intel and AMD, respectively. Now, it’s time to step away from those enthusiasts’ picks and drop down a tier to the more budget-friendly (and generally more popular) options such as the B-series. ASUS motherboards using the B840, B850, H810, B860, and more chipsets have been listed online.
New ASUS motherboards registered on EEC
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is a useful resource for finding new product listings or trademarks and a number of motherboards have been registered in its online database. Three separate documents are available to see (1, 2, 3); we can split these up into AMD and Intel chipsets.

There’s a big mix of motherboards here, including ATX, mini ATX, and micro ATX variants. There are also high-end workstation boards using the W880 chipset. We’re most interested in the upcoming AMD B850 and Intel B860 chipsets in particular, which should provide the best mid-range support if you don’t want to splash out on one of the more expensive existing boards. The new B840 and H810 chipsets will represent the entry-level.
Since Intel has moved on to a new socket for its Intel Core Ultra 200S series, you’ll need one of these new 800-series boards to support it. We already know that the new generation is selling worse than we imagined, and the need for a completely new motherboard may be a factor in that. It doesn’t help that Core Ultra wasn’t received well by reviewers; we called the flagship a 285K a “fresh start” in our review, but the value for money isn’t there.
As a final word, it’s worth mentioning that this doesn’t confirm that every single SKU listed above will be finalized. We’ll know exactly which motherboards ASUS will be selling once the time comes for retailers to stock them.
