To get the best out of the game and with no hindrance to your performance, the MSI Titan 18 HX we reviewed previously is the way to go. Racking up the best mobile hardware available will make sure you have no problems in performance, and additionally, it will make it look its best with everything it has to offer onboard.

That starts with the core components in the processor and graphics card. On the Titan we reviewed we had the Intel Core I9-14900HX and RTX 4090 laptop processors. Both are at the best available parts for the platform and have no struggle in processing any workloads not just gaming, even if they’re not quite on par with their desktop namesakes.

Along with the key specs, there are plenty of other important bits of hardware inside that help with the total effort. That includes the 128GB of DDR5 RAM and a total of 6TB of NVMe SSDs across three different sticks. This also helps with the speed and processing power of the machine, plus helping you to actually fit all the files and games onto it without having to worry.

The MSI Titan 18 HX A14 is a beast of a machine, with such a high spec, there’s not really anything that can challenge it

Then there is also the display on board the laptop, which itself is quite impressive. As the 18-inch screen is in fact a larger 16:10 4K monitor built in, that gives it that extra boost in imersiveness. Alongside the size and resolution, it has a 120Hz refresh rate that gives it smooth-looking visuals with the help of the mini LED technology used in the panel. Making it a lot nicer to use the embedded display without needing an external monitor.

Lastly, the overall build of the laptop is great as well. It kind of teeters between the stealth and gaming look of MSI laptop models, with quite the big size and strong quality to it. Its incredible venting and cooling make it perform throughout all the tasks you put it through. The keyboard is a near-perfect low-profile mechanical option to utilize. Although the touchpad I’m not too fond of, not that you won’t be using a standalone mouse anyway. All this gives it a great quality and desire.

What hardware do you need to run the game?

Looking at the system requirements of the Space Marine 2, we can see the sort of hardware you need in general to get a good experience in the game. As Saver Interactive provides both the minimum and recommended components for the job, but with the expected performance from each of them. That should give you a good idea of what to go for if you’re looking to play the game at a reasonable framerate and quality.

When looking at the specs, you have to be aware they are based on the desktop versions of each. So if you do want the laptop equivalents, you have to knock it up a couple of tiers due to the difference between them. This is because the laptop parts tend to have much lower TDPs and processing power and so aren’t directly equivalent.

Alternative laptops

If the Titan isn’t up to your needs, which is understandable considering the price and quality, there are many alternatives to consider as well. Such as the MSI Raider GE78, something more gaming-focused but tones down the specs and price to simplify things. Alternatively, the MSI Stealth 18 keeps things on the low down and without showing off, although that limits its performance capabilities for the hardware.

Otherwise, there is also the Razer Blade 16 that offers something different yet still sleek. With hardware sitting in the middle still capable of running the game well. As for something on the lowest end, you can consider the Acer Nitro 17 which may be more in line with the minimum requirements but it gets the job done with a minimum price pick.

Final word

There you have the top selection of laptops for Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2, with a wide selection of hardware to get it running well. The top-end MSI Titan is our top choice for getting the best pick but alternatives may also be more suitable for your needs. The MSI Raider, MSI Stealth, Razer Blade 16, and Acer Nitro 17 are all worthy considerations. This way you can find the right kit for your budget and desires.
