If you update McAfee, the problem goes away...
I was trying out the "Ultimate Boot CD v2.4" "Anti-Virus Tools".
"fprot" refused to run because it was too out-of-date.
"McAfee Antivirus v4.32.0 (26 May 2004)" ran.
Found:
"C:\Program Files\HijackThis V1,99,1\Hijack This.exe"
"W32/Generic.Worm! P2P Virus. File Deleted"
I then down loaded "Hijack This v1.99.1" and replaced the deleted file.
What do you guys think?
Was this really an infection, or a false positive?
