Black Friday is an excellent time of the year to get yourself a new CPU and if you were eyeing the 7800X3D, the time is now as Amazon has launched its Black Friday sales and we’re seeing other retailers like Best Buy follow suit. While the Ryzen 7 7800X3D might not hold the title for the best gaming processor as that belongs to the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, it is still an excellent gaming CPU and can easily be paired with high-end GPUs like the RTX 4090 or the RX 7900 XTX and even budget graphics cards like RTX 4060 or the RX 7600 XT. This speaks towards its speed to keep up with the GPU at lower resolutions.
Here at PC Guide, we’ve reviewed plenty of CPUs, including the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. To check its performance, we paired it with the RTX 4070 Ti Super and ran our suite of benchmarking software. In CPU-Z single and multi-core tests it managed 634 and 7,085 points, respectively. For reference, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D managed 461 and 4,889 points in the same tests.
So, the generational uplift is huge, and you should be able to run productive tasks easily with this CPU. That said, this processor is 22% off on Amazon at the time of writing, and during our sweep for deals, we found 7800X3D bundles and gaming PCs with slashed prices. Bundles can offer better value as individual components can generally cost more, but you save more by purchasing a bundle.
Over at Best Buy, we found this CyberPowerPC gaming PC with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RTX 4070 Super. It has been reduced by $270 from its original price of $1,699.99 to $1,429.99. In addition, we also found another pre-built gaming PC on Amazon. The Skytech Blaze Gaming PC is 16% off dropping its price from $2,499.99 to $2,099.99.
So, there are plenty of gaming PCs featuring the 7800X3D available, and if you find one that has all the components you were looking for, we recommend you go for it as it’ll save you the time and effort of putting it together. That said, if you want to build your PC, we recommend checking the prices of each component on Camelcamelcamel to ensure that you’re getting a good deal. If the cost of the bundle is more than the prices added up, its better to find another deal.
