Right away, two key components make this gaming PC a powerhouse – both the CPU and GPU can be considered flagships for gaming. Starting with the 9800X3D processor, we’ve already seen tests that show it is 20% better for gaming than Intel’s current flagship Core Ultra 9 285K. That’s not all either, as it also isn’t bad for productivity on the side.
Back when we reviewed the RTX 4090, it passed our benchmarks with flying colors. That doesn’t come as a surprise as it is the most powerful consumer graphics card right now and if you want high-end 4K gaming, it’s a tempting option despite the price. Our in-house tests show it averages 133 FPS at 4K ultra settings with ray tracing (DLSS enabled) in Cyberpunk 2077; it reached 200 FPS 4K RT maxed-out settings without DLSS in lighter titles such as DOOM (2016).
To facilitate the graphics card, this Stormforce prebuilt comes with a gold-rated 1050W power supply; a powerful PSU is essential to meet the 4090’s high power draw.
Stormforce has fitted this gaming PC with one of the new X870 motherboards, specifically the MSI X870-P WiFi which delivers the most up-to-date support for AMD’s AM5 platform.
