Microphone/sond recorder problem
My problem is that sound recorder comes up with no black background and green line that indicates recording. Also when I have my Microphone un-muted the sound comes throught the speaker, BAD FEEDBACK if the mic is too close to the speaker.
I have checked conenctions. The latest software change has been the installation of ATI TV WONDER VE. A PCI card that picks up TV on the computer. The line out from the TV card goes into the lin in of the cound card.

For the feedback problem you could mute the output to the speakers or simply turn the volume way down.
Does the recorder work?
As an alternative you could try Musicmatch which has a good sound recorder built into their software.
