Question Do I need a BIOS upgrade?

    Hi,

I came across the following whilst browsing the Event Viewer:
    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: ACPI
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 5
    Date: 02-09-2003
    Time: 02:15:41
    User: N/A
    Computer: DESKTOP01
    Description:
AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address (0x70), which lies in the 0x70 - 0x71 protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

My OS is Win XP Home and the MoBo is a Gigabyte Bx2000.

My system runs OK. Is this something that is going to grow into problem, or can I ignore it?

    Thanks.

Update the BIOS, and see if that helps.
