If you cant get it recognised in the BIOS I'm afraid there's really no hope of DIY recovery. Would think the only hope would be for a specialist firm to rebuild the platters - and sadly that's big bucks.
Hello
I have a hard drive that has apparently failed. It will not detect in the bios when i master or slave it. I really need to get the data off it and am wondering if there is any way i can get it when the bios will not detect it? I have tried installing it in another computer and it will not detect either. It is getting power cause it spins and clicks. Help appreciated.
