Hard Disc Reconition

I want to know how to get the motherboard to reconize the HD. I use to set it in the Bio. The last one I did, I could not type in the information. It has been awhile since i did the previouse one.

1. Is the BIOS set to auto detect ?
2. If an IDE drive is it jumped right ?
3. What type of drive is it - SATA, IDE ?
4. What OS are you using ?

You haven't had to manually input hard drive parameters for a looooooooooong time. Answer Jiggy's questions and he can help you get it recognized.
