It offers the Navi 48 XTX processor with 4,096 streaming processors and 16GB of GDDR6, which provides a total bandwidth of 644GB/s. That allows it to run at a range of resolutions across the board, including 4K, where it easily beats out the competition, like the RTX 5070.

It offers incredible performance and true 4K gaming for $600.

Considering it comes with an MSRP of $599, it is a rather strong value option that makes it a very competitive pick. That’s if you are able to, considering AMD is also prone to stock issues. However, if you do it definitely is worth considering, especially the overclocked option we tested capable of overclocking above 3GHz.

In testing, that resulted in exceptional gaming scores even up to the 4K. Benchmarking Cyberpunk, we saw the card achieve 193, 129, and 61 FPS on average across 1080p, 1440p, and 4k, respectively, on pure rasterization. While whacking on ray tracing, that drops down to 80, 51, and 25 FPS, making it a decent choice. You also have FSR and frame generation to enjoy to get even more out of the GPU.

However, it does fall behind in some creative, non-gaming scenarios. Even though it made up the difference to Nvidia, it’s still not quite on par when it comes to the likes of AI, encoding, and the like, as we see in Geekbench and other synthetic benchmarks.

PC Guide

In our review of the card and testing it, we found some great performance across the board. As we see in Cyberpunk, that amounts to a benchmark of 213, 151, and 72FPS on ultra at 1080p, 1440p, and 4k, respectively. While turning on ray tracing does drop that down to 107, 68, and 35. It does come with an ace up its sleeve with the fact you have DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation to enjoy as well.

Even in creative and synthetic benchmarks, we see a strong improvement over the previous generation and the competition. That provides a more well-rounded solution for most of your needs.

The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT’s value for money is hard to argue against. While primarily marketed as a 1440p GPU, this card can definitely get playable framerates in 4K thanks to its 16GB GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit memory bus. We also saw that during our testing for our RX 7800 XT review.

It's armed with a total of 3,840 Stream Processors and a game and boost frequency of 2124 and 2430 MHz, respectively. This means that you should be able to play any game you want without compromising on settings; however, remember that the sweet spot for this GPU is 1440p. That being said, you can get better performance by overclocking the GPU, but that also increases its power draw and thermal output as the cores are working faster.

You can pick up the 7800 XT from $499 making it one of the more affordable mid-range offerings, and undercutting the likes of the RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Super, too.

PC Guide

So, we recommend using robust cooling solutions and 140mm case fans to promote good airflow and keep the GPU and other components cool and from overheating. On the other hand, it has a 263W TBP, while the 5700X consumes 65W. So, this adds up to 328W, which isn’t a lot, and even a 500W PSU like the Thermaltake Smart RGB 500W should be able to power this system.

However, you can pair powerful processors like the 5700X with this GPU, so if you were to upgrade in the future, you might have to replace the power supply unit as well. So, we recommend investing in a good PSU like the RM750x, which we rated 5/5, to ensure that you’re covered in the future.

As for its in-game performance, it managed 140, 91, and 30 FPS at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K in Cyberpunk 2077. Enabling Ray Tracing saw the framerates drop further, as at 1080p, we got 43 FPS, 27 FPS at 1440p, and 13 FPS at 4K. While these results are native, meaning no upscaling technologies like FSR were used, 4K might not be possible with this title with Ray Tracing enabled at least.

That being said, in well-optimized titles like Doom Eternal, it managed 237, 173, and 95 FPS at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K with Ray Tracing enabled. So, this card is capable of pushing 4K; its performance will just vary depending on the title. Overall, this is a solid graphics card that should make a good pairing with the 5700X for QHD gaming and can be used with newer processors without a hitch.

For maximum savings and excellent performance, we recommend pairing the 5700X with the Intel Arc B580. Intel really wasn’t on the map when it came to graphics cards, but with the release of this Battlemage GPU, it seems like it is the go-to option for 1080p and 1440p gaming on a budget.

Our Sparkle Intel Arc B580 Titan OC review showcased excellent gaming and synthetic performance against the RTX 4060, which costs more. We’ve also reviewed the RX 7600 XT, and it outperformed even that. This GPU has 20 Xe cores based on the new architecture and runs at a base and boost clock speed of 1,700 MHz and 2,740 MHz, respectively.

That being said, it has a base TDP of 190W; however, the Sparkle card we tested can be overclocked to 2,800 MHz, which ramps up its power draw to 210W. What this means is that it should be able to handle most titles at lower resolution without running into issues.

The Intel Arc B580 has breathed fresh air in the graphics card market. Providing something new and exciting where there's been a bit of a stalemate between AMD and Nvidia.

PC Guide

On top of that, it features 12GB of GDDR6 RAM with a 192-bit memory interface width. This means that you’re getting more VRAM at a lower cost, and this enables this card to push 4K in some titles, as we saw during our in-house testing. Also, a neat aspect of this card is that it comes with anti-sag support that keeps the stress off of the PCIe slot, which is great and something we haven’t seen a lot of manufacturers do before.

As for its gaming performance, we paired it with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and ran games at 1080p and 1440p. In Cyberpunk 2077, it managed 94 and 62 FPS at 1080p and 1440p at ultra settings, with the RTX 4060 trailing behind with 80 and 47 FPS. The RX 7600 XT delivered 86 FPS at 1080p and 53 FPS at 1440p.

In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the B580 managed 90, 72, and 48 FPS at FHD, QHD, and 4K, respectively. The RTX 4060 has slightly better results with 92 FPS at 1080p but came face to face with the B580 at 1440p with 72 FPS and lagged at 4K with 38 FPS. As for the RX 7600 XT, it delivered 91 FPS at 1080p and 67 FPS at 1440p but couldn’t push 4K.

Overall, this is an excellent budget card that can keep up with the competition and even outperform it easily while providing much higher value.
