I can't get my floppy to work. The light is on all the time. This is a brand new floppy, never been used before.

Usually the light being on all the time means that you have the cable in backwards (upside down). Try it the other way and see if it works. It should be keyed to only work on one side, but it is easy to miss that and put it in backwards....

Thanks for your help, but I found out what was wrong, I needed a new floppy cable(I feel kinda stupid) Thanks again saw

If you are feeling stupid, check out some of the threads about dumb mistakes we have all made. If you mess around with computers, you are going to have some stories to tell, fortunately your's was a cheap one to fix. Some of us have spent a lot of money on mistakes...
