Thread: Basic question with Boot file

  1. #1

    Arrow Basic question with Boot file

    In boot.ini,

    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0) disk(0) rdisk (0) partition (3) \WINXP
    [operating system]
    multi(0) disk(0) rdisk (0) partition (3) \WINXP="Windows XP, Version x"
    ..............

    Can you tell me if I delete or correct "Windows XP version x", will I have any trouble with booting ?

    By the way, do you know anything fun to add or correct this boot.ini to make the booting process funnier without hurting or killing the system?

    Thank you!

    you can try the /sos and /noguiboot
    /sos will show u the device drivers being loaded
    /noguiboot will disable that progress bar on the splash logo screen
    In the land of Seatle, by the fires of Microsoft, the dark lord Bill Gates forged in, secret, a master OS, to controll all PCs.
    And into this OS he put his greed, his malice and his will to dominate all computer media.
    One OS to rule 'em all.
