I recently made the great "mistake" of attempting to create a clone of one of my SATA drives because I used the Norton Ghost 2003 which won't work for these kind of drives(and which I was abysmally ignorant of!). Anyway, someone whose judgement I trust examined the drive and informed me that the Ghost program created a partition which then denied me access to the OS. As a result, if I wanted, I would need to have a drive recovery service do a recovery, quite a VERY expensive proposition should I choose that option(I'm not).
Is there any alternative to that, some kind of program which could enable me to eliminate or reconstruct the partition table and thereby gain access to the OS?
