The final area of consideration when assessing vendors and manufacturers has to do with their quality of support. Some vendors take supporting the customer after the sale very seriously, while others... don't. :^) When you pay more for certain vendors, this is part of what you're paying for.

In this section I will discuss a few issues related to support. This includes a look primarily at technical support, and also a discussion of pre-shipment testing, an important feature.
