What we think about the Samsung QN90D 98-inch
The headline for this is the quality picture you’re getting on such a large TV. With the Neo QLED panel, you get an extremely detailed and responsive picture that’s perfect if you like hosting watch parties for sports or movies. We’re also a fan of the 120Hz refresh rate that when coupled with FreeSync Premium Pro provides a super smooth gaming experience without screen-tearing. The 1,200 nit brightness helps the mini-LED backlighting really pop with excellent contrasts and near-true blacks. The lack of Dolby Vision support on all the 20204 Samsung TVs is a bit of a letdown as it would elevate what is already a fantastic-looking TV. We also like the super thin, bezel-less design that, for such a massive TV, takes up very little room. All in all it’s a great option if you want a TV of this size, but if you’re not looking for a monster television then there are more appropriate, and affordable, options available.
Is this a good Samsung TV deal?
We wouldn’t consider this a great deal on this Samsung TV as the 65-inch TV you get free doesn’t make up enough value for us to recommend it. While we think this QN90D TV is great, for $15,000 we don’t think that an extra $500 TV moves th needle for us much. If you’ve got your heart set on getting the QN90D then we’d recommend waiting for a little while as such an expensive TV will certainly get a pretty sizeable discount soon.
