AMD’s Beijing AI PC Innovation Summit just took place yesterday. Plenty of information has come to pique the interest of PC enthusiasts. Perhaps most notably, AMD has revealed there are two new Ryzen CPUs that are on their way. However, there’s one caveat – they’re only for the Chinese market.

While the main purpose of the summit was to introduce the Ryzen 8040 series, two new CPUs were also shown during the lineup. As photographed by HXL on Twitter, these CPUs, the Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F, are preparing for launch. As evidenced by the F in the title, it’s speculated that the Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F are missing iGPUs, allowing for a processor that those with a lower budget can enjoy. HXL also speculates that these processors will only be available in China.

The Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F are coming but only for Chinese markets

The slide that CPUs appeared on is titled “Attacking every price point”. This is further evidence that the Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F won’t have integrated graphics, allowing them to be cheaper. This will mean a wide range of prices that the Ryzen lineup will feature, for more accessibility. For users who want to get their hands on the latest series of Ryzen CPUs, but don’t want to spend a fortune, this could be the option they’re looking for.

Further specs for the two processors are still unknown at this point. No dedicated iGPU is still just a theory. Many PC enthusiasts who aren’t graphics snobs don’t mind the missing onboard graphics. Coupled with the lower price point, this could stand to be an incredibly popular processor.

However, everything right now is still up in the air. Not only is it not official what the specs for these AMD CPUs are, but also where they’ll be sold. The Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F could easily still make their way outside of China for further distribution. More news is expected to come out in the future, so we’ll definitely be hearing more from AMD regarding these processors soon.
