The Ryzen 9 7950X3D is a 24-core CPU that, thanks to the new AMD architecture, is more capable than ever to perform multitasking activities and putting all of those cores to work effectively. Mainly due to that reason and the extra cache the X3D technology adds to the CPU, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D is a solid processor for streaming.

With 24 threads and a boost clock speed of 5.6GHz, the 7950X3D is a powerful option for streamers. Additionally, the AMD Precision Boost Overdrive technology enhances the CPU‘s performance. It is recommended to pair this processor with a high-end GPU, such as the 4080, to fully leverage its capabilities. The Ryzen 9 7900X3D offers high performance for various demanding tasks, including gaming and content creation, and is considered to be one of the best options for streamers in 2023.

The Ryzen 9 7950X3D boasts an improved performance over its non-X3D version, thanks to the addition of 64MB of cache memory on top of its existing L3 cache. This added memory makes the processor faster and stronger. Despite this enhancement, the boost clock speed remains the same at 5.7 GHz, as a result of AMD’s Zen 4 architecture. The base clock speed of the X3D version is slightly reduced. Nevertheless, the 16 cores in the Ryzen 9 7950X3D make it an excellent choice for intensive applications and those who require top-notch performance.

Another good part of the CPU is its price. It’s understandable that this is a high-end component, so expecting high prices is normal. However, what is surprising about the CPU is how little the price changed over the non-X3D version. AMD decided to keep prices really close together to fight off the prices of Intel’s KS and K processors, which are as high as $750.

Can you stream with a Ryzen 9?

Yes, you can stream with a Ryzen 9 CPU. The Ryzen 9 series offers high performance and advanced technology, making them a good choice for streamers. The number of cores and threads, as well as the boost clock speed, are important factors to consider when choosing a CPU for streaming, and the Ryzen 9 series generally provides good numbers in those areas. However, the actual performance will also depend on other factors, such as the GPU, RAM, and overall system configuration.
