If you’re an AMD loyalist looking to get a graphics card directly from the manufacturer, the recently released ‘Made by AMD’ RX 7600 reference model should undoubtedly be on your radar. Retailing at only $269, this GPU features a decent number of compute units at 32 and a respectable 8GB GDDR6 VRAM to handle all your basic computing and gaming needs. Of course, its specs don’t make it quite as capable as some of its premium counterparts. But at this price point, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better alternative that can provide the same value.
Since this is an MBA (Made by AMD) model, this GPU is exclusively available through the manufacturer’s website. Now, even though this graphics card won’t quite make it on the list of the best GPUs in 2024, you can’t argue the capabilities it provides, especially after likely going through an arduous testing process since it’s directly sold by AMD. Of course, apart from the look, the differences between this GPU and those of other manufacturers, like PowerColor and XFX, are few and far between. So, whichever you choose will be based entirely on your design preferences.
‘Made by AMD’ RX 7600 reference model is as affordable as it gets
Now, even though this GPU is one of the most affordable cards in the market, you won’t be able to buy several of the same models on a whim. AMD currently has a maximum purchase limit of one unit per customer, likely to prevent people from hoarding and potentially reselling it later on. That said, we wouldn’t put it past this GPU to sell out since plenty of PC enthusiasts are undoubtedly looking for an affordable upgrade. So you might need to grab one soon because its store page might just display the dreaded “Out of Stock” sign soon.
