How to install Steam on an ASUS ROG Ally

Begin by visiting the official Steam website. On the homepage, locate and click the blue button that says “Install Steam.” The SteamSetup.exe file will start downloading.

Once the download completes, run the SteamSetup.exe file.

You might receive a prompt from Windows asking if you want to run the file. Click “Yes.” A new window will open, where you need to click “Next,” select your preferred language, and finally click “Install.” If you want to run Steam right away after installation, make sure the “Run Steam” checkbox is ticked. Otherwise, uncheck it and click “Finish.”

Open the Start Menu. Steam will likely require an update. Let it complete, which typically takes up to three minutes depending on your internet speed.
