Ryzen 7 7800X3D release date prediction

When will AMD's highly anticipated new 3D V-cache tech make its debut with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D release date

Last Updated on

Though the smallest of the new bunch out of AMD, the eight-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D will prove to be an interesting new addition to the firm’s ever-growing 7000 series lineup. The X3D chips, which were announced amid CES 2023 earlier this month, mark a newfound introduction to AMD’s incredible L3 3D V-Cache technology, a form of advanced packaging and stacking to allow larger benefits in gaming and content creation.

While there may be some things we know about the internals of AMD’s new chips, there is still a multitude of question marks, the main among them being the Ryzen 7 7800X3D release date. Although officially the firm has announced a supposed February 14th launch, AMD no sooner walked back these claims stating the date was in error and an official launch would be announced at a later date.

Still, there are some things we can infer just from the little information we have currently. At CES 2023, AMD did provide an initial February launch window in its announcement, but little else came to light.

Although AMD has walked back the initial claims of a Valentine’s Day debut, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D release date should be relatively close to this. AMD has not yet given any word on when the 3D V-cache chips could be launched, but Valentine’s Day does seem the most opportune time to do so.

Given that AMD relayed in its announcement that the new 3D V-cache chips would be arriving in February, it’s safe to assume they will land sometime around next month. AMD has yet to walk about February as an official release date, just the 14th leaked earmark.

In any case, these chips will be sure to provide some amazing new qualities in performance and pricing. It’s unclear as of yet how much AMD is set to release the chips at, but the firm has remained relatively consumer-facing in its approach to new chip and graphics card launches.
