When it comes to stocking up on your games collection then any kind of sale is always good news, so that’s why Amazon Prime Day 2021 is a great opportunity to line up your playlist for the next few months. As far as PC games go, pickings can be slim as the majority of games are distributed digitally for ease, but in terms of things such as console titles, there is no better time to fish for a great deal.
Of course, you can still pick up savings on boxed PC games such a Microsoft Flight Simulator and the like if and when they appear.
Amazon has discounted its video games stock on previous Prime Days and there is no reason to believe that 2021 will be any different. So whether you are looking for Xbox, PlayStation or Switch, we expect you deals team will be able to sort you out with a way of parting you from your cold hard cash.
The Switch generally gets bundles of deals on Amazon Prime Day – no, literally bundles. It’s a great time to pick up a console with a selection of top-tier games, the likes of Zelda and Mario Kart as there is far better margin for the retailer if they can sell the whole lot to a customer. Of course, individual games will also get discounted too and you will be able to find them all listed here as they appear.
With stock of the PS5 still extremely limited, it is possible Amazon will be able to drop some new machines on the big day but don’t hold your breath. What we can expect to see are maybe minor discounts on early PS5 games but much heavier reductions on PS4 stock and games. So if you are still rocking Sony’s last-gen. This could be the Prime Day for you.
Again, if you were lucky enough to snare an Xbox Series X you might be on the lookout for new games for it or your Series S, but again we suspect that the majority of Xbox discounting is going to be aimed at Xbox One titles and potential consoles bundles. Watch this space for everything that we find.
If you’ve never been a Prime member before then you can get a free 30-day trial membership to try out the service. Not only will this give you access to the Prime Day deals on offer, but it will also allow you to enjoy the other benefits of Prime for the full month.
If you have been a Prime member but canceled your membership, then you won’t be able to take advantage of the free trial. But, the one-month subscription fee can definitely be worth it if you’re looking to get your hands on a few games, or even a new console this Prime Day.
Other retailers have also jumped on the fact that people are searching for deals on the same day as Amazon Prime Day so it is wholly likely that you will find other sellers knocking cold, hard cash off their price tags. Don’t worry, when we find those we will put them right here on this page too.
If you’re looking to explore the other Prime Day 2021 deals, we’ve put together a bunch of other pages to help you out. Here’s a full list so you can get your savings nice and quickly.
