In general, the Radeon RX 6700 XT is a more powerful graphics card than the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, with more memory and a faster memory clock speed. However, the RTX 3060 Ti has a higher number of stream processors and uses Nvidia’s advanced RT and Tensor cores, which can provide a performance boost in certain types of workloads, such as ray tracing and machine learning.

Ultimately, the choice between these two graphics cards will depend on your specific needs and budget. If you are looking for the highest possible performance for gaming and other demanding workloads, the Radeon RX 6700 XT may be the better choice. However, if you are interested in features like ray tracing and AI-based enhancements, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti might be a better fit.

RX 6700 XT vs RTX 3060 Ti Specs

 RTX 3060 tiRX 6700 XT
CUDA Cores / Stream Processors4,8642,560
Tensor Cores152
RT Cores / Ray Accelerators3840
Memory8 GB GDDR612GB GDDR6
Memory speed14GT/s16GT/s
Memory bandwidth448GB/s384GB/s

In the table above, we can see how the RX 6700 XT provides 34% more VRAM than the 3060 Ti. The extra 4GB of the 12GB GDDR6 6700 XT ensures that the card will be able to move way more information than the Nvidia GPU, which will be useful in high resolutions, or more demanding open box video games, although those are more CPU-demanding.

Another aspect worth mentioning is the difference in approaches. Nvidia decided to improve performance by making use of their exclusive technology, adding tensor cores, while the 6700 XT can’t quite compete with this extra feature. This will make the GPU differ in content creation tasks, such as rendering and video editing. Though we must say it right now, these GPUs are not the best option available at the moment for those kinds of workflows. They can perform well, but you’ll find lacking power depending on how demanding is your workload.

In conclusion, both GPUs are very different, especially because of how both brands approach performance enhancements. However, the RX 6700 XT is found to be more powerful, fast, and power efficient than the 3o60 Ti. Moreover, the price-to-performance ratio is better on the RX 6700 XT over the 3060 Ti.
