Nvidia continues to bring new GPUs to market in January. And, should you previously have been considering a 4070 Ti, you may be best served to buy an RTX 4070 Ti Super, reference ‘OC’ or otherwise. The Ti Super is arriving with more power and a better value proposition than its predecessor and will replace it too. So in this piece, we’ve got the key information about availability and the new arrival all in one place.

Where to buy RTX 4070 Ti Super – US retailers

Generally, there are three top options to pick from in the US – and there’s not a lot of surprise as to our picks here. Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg all generally stock new graphics cards on launch day, although Amazon can take a little longer to list than the other two. Best Buy does have a ‘notify me’ option available for the below cards.

Ther are two ways you can probably win with the RTX 4070 Ti Super release: 1. You can opt for it over that RTX 4070 Ti you’ve been weighing up for (likely) the same budget. Or, 2. you can likely nab an RTX 4070 Ti for less when the Super arrives. Whatever you do, you’re sure to get a great addition to your system, if you’re upgrading.

When was the RTX 4070 Ti Super out?

The RTX 4070 Ti Super arrived on January 24, so after the RTX 4070 Super but before the new RTX 4080 Super. The new card will ultimately replace the 4070 Ti regular version, and you can see our comparison of the two cards as to why that would be. So if you wanted to get a 4070 Ti, then an RTX 4070 Ti Super seems sensible if you’re happy to spend the same.

RTX 4070 Ti Super pre order info – could you order it early?

Unfortunately, it seems as though Nvidia is eschewing pre order availability on its new Super cards. The 4070 Super launched on January 17th without pre order, and so did the Ti Super. Whether that remains the case for the RTX 4080 Super we’ve yet to see but we’ll be looking at that closely in our RTX 4080 Super where to buy page.

What to know before you buy the RTX 4070 Super or 4070 Ti Super

Unlike the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super, the 4070 Super won’t be replacing the RTX 4070. This is important because it opens up more options for prospective buyers. The newcomer will arrive at $599, and the regular 4070 will drop to an MSRP of $549 – so you really can weigh up the 4070 Super and 4070 for which works best for you. Meanwhile the RTX 4070 Ti Super will replace the 4070 Ti – and arrive at an MSRP of $799. The shuffle signifies Nvidia targeting ‘more affordable’ cards and (if value is the right word) offering more value in its range; adding extra competition for AMD to consider.
