Best Buy appears to be leading the charge with RTX 4080 Super listings, and the prices look encouraging. Although not yet available to buy, the listings are there and we’re getting a warmly reassuring feeling. That’s because it seems that at least some cards will be arriving at the MSRP, and not grossly inflated.

Part of any new product launch is smoke and mirrors around MSRPs (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) and the actual price at checkout. With graphics cards, it’s often the case that some models go well above the standard price. But with each of the Supers arriving at prices previously held by other 40-series cards we feel value is absolutely key. And, judging by Best Buy’s listings, a least three 4080 Super options will be at the reported $999 MSRP price. Those are Nvidia’s reference design, the Asus TUF model, and the Gigabyte Windforce V2 model.

The RTX 4070 Super was £599 and the 4070 Ti Super $799, but not all cards were quite that affordable – see our (Asus) 4070 Ti Super review. But the early signs are good for the 4080 Super – seeing listings this early is fairly unusual, and it seems highly unlikely that pricing will change between now and launch on the 31st. There are a few cards that cost a little more, which is to be expected, and getting in there early on the more affordable cards will help you beat 4080s going out of stock.
