With anticipation for Nvidia’s next Super graphics card increasing with each passing day, we’ve been chasing down retailers to find out exactly where to buy the RTX 4080 Super. Some retailers – like Amazon – already have the RTX 4080 Super for sale.

The latest high-end GPU from Team Green is almost here, set to launch on Wednesday, 31st of January, and looks likely to hit shelves with a storm. The new arrival was confirmed during Nvidia’s special address ahead of CES 2024 and will be the final GPU to arrive in the Super range – with the RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super already fully released.

Equipped with the brand’s latest tech, the RTX 4080 Super could be a huge win for Nvidia, with the card offering up a bunch of exiting AI technologies, boosted performance over the non-super variants, and “competitive” pricing all up for grabs. With all that in mind, we’ll be taking a closer look at where to buy the RTX 4080 super, alongside any pre order details that may help you land one of these exciting new GPUs.

RTX 4080 Super Pre order details

In the US and UK, most of the retailers likely to sell the upcoming GPU are NOT offering per order options. Why? It’s not unusual to see Graphics cards launch without pre orders on the table. That said, we have seen pre order after a GPU has launched – and it all comes down to how successful the card is on launch. If a GPU sells out immediately, certain retailers will offer pre orders to create a bit of order – guaranteeing a product for both the retailer and the seller. Having said that, a German retailer listed a bunch of the upcoming RTX 4080 AIBs late last week, with pre orders actually an option.

We will be keeping tabs on whether there are pre-orders available for the RTX 4080 Super, but as of right now the answer is no. There isn’t always pre-order availability for new graphics cards so it’s not a given. However, you can bookmark this page and check back, as we’ll be keeping up to date on the latest info as and when it arrives.

What to know before you buy the Nvidia RTX 4080 Super

To start, the Super will be replacing the old RTX 4080 when it arrives on January 31st. So if you were considering your next graphics card options, then opting to buy an RTX 4080 Super makes sense. That’s also the case in terms of pricing, with the 4080 Super arriving at $999 MSRP, so the $200 cheaper than the MSRP of the 4080 regular card. Value isn’t a term Nvidia is often associated with, and $1K isn’t cheap, but the extra performance and lower price benefits over the first 4080 are something to be lauded.

The other key thing to bear in mind is the raw power this card has. Although not quite an RTX 4090, the RTX 4080 Super is reportedly twice as powerful as the RTX 3080 Ti, so it finally makes sense to upgrade should you have that in your current system. Now, let’s get onto where we expect you’ll be able to pick up an RTX 4080 Super when it arrives later this month.

Is the RTX 4080 Super out?

Although announced on January 8th by Nvidia, the RTX 4080 Super isn’t out just yet. The card will release on January 31st, aftere the arrival of the RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super.
