In a surprise move by Apple, iOS 15.1 Public Beta 2 is available for download for developers and public beta testers right now!

iOS 15.1 Public Beta 2 – New Features

Whilst SharePlay was re-introduced and featured in iOS 15.1 Public Beta 1, it also fixes the ‘Unlock with Apple Watch Bug’. Users found that unlocking and locking iPhones with Apple Watch didn’t, leading to an error message. Now, this is fully working for iOS 15.1 Public Beta 2 testers. Just keep in mind, this is still a beta release and may still have bugs.

iOS 15.1 Public Beta 2 – How To Download

For existing iOS 15.1 Public Beta 2 testers, grab your iPhone and go to Settings > General > Software Update and select the 829MB iOS 15.1 Public Beta 2 prompt to download. If you’re not part of the testing program, click here for instructions on how to get involved. Then, you’ll be able to download iOS 15.1 Public Beta 2. Also, servers might be quite busy, so make sure to plug your iPhone in and set some time aside before committing to update.
